Using Preaching Mode

A high-contrast stage view with a timer and presenter notes.

Updated 8/23/2026

Preaching Mode strips everything away except your manuscript, in large high-contrast type, with a timer that warns you as your time runs down.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Open it

    From a teaching, choose Preach.

  2. 2

    Set your time

Set the target length; you are alerted at ten and five minutes remaining.

  3. 3

    Control the timer

Start, pause and reset without leaving the stage view.

  4. 4

    Use presenter notes

Notes you added while writing appear only to you.

  5. 5

    Bookmark key sections

Scroll to a moment you will want again — the illustration, the turn, the appeal — and press B or tap the bookmark button, then choose "Mark this spot". Open the bookmark list to jump straight back. Every heading in your manuscript is already listed there as a section.

Common questions

Can I use it on a phone?

Yes — Preaching Mode works on phones, tablets, laptops and desktops.

Are my Preaching Mode bookmarks saved?

Yes. Bookmarks are kept on the device you made them on, so they survive a refresh and work with no internet at all. They are private to you and never appear in projection, print or exports.

If something goes wrong

The screen dimmed mid-sermon.

Some devices dim on their own. Set the screen timeout to never, or keep the device on charge.
